Here is where we'll share questions / concerns asked by other parents that might help all of us.
The tone after the weekly mass has changed because of the ask for quiet and less socializing. As a parent, I enjoy giving my child a quick hug after mass and saying hi to other parents. Why the change? Our goal was to have the students show respect for the sacrament we just received, the parishioners, and the students who are still praying. It's a child's time simply to be in silent prayer to thank and ador God for his Son and our many blessings. This extra moment is a form of prayer that takes real effort from a child; it is a small form of Eucharistic Adoration, something we want our students to experience at a Catholic school. After the first mass, there was an unintential solemn mood. We are not trying to eliminate the typical chatter and joy after mass, and it should become more natural for everyone after a couple of weeks. If you have any ideas, please contact your child's religion teacher.

What does the school do to recognize the achievements of women? We do this very frequently. One way we do this is through the morning announcements/ prayer. Mrs. Fyfe begins the announcements / prayer by sharing something significant that happened on that day in history. Often it is about a notable woman. During the months of February and March, here are the women that were highlighted during prayer:
There are some cars going the wrong way at drop off, which can be dangerous: Parents, the correct drop off procedure is as follows. Please review it for everyone’s safety! Car Riders
The pick up from school lines are uneven at the school office and gym: These pick up lines were set based on the number of parents who felt they would be picking up after school, however, sometimes school pick up plans change and parents opt to use the bus. In addition, traffic cannot back up onto Mequon road for safety reasons, therefore, the line to the gym is a little longer as the back up concern is less of an issue. These lines will be re-evaluated for the next school year, but will stay set through the end of the 2017-18 school year to alleviate any confusion amongst children, parents and staff.
Sometimes my kids come home with food in their lunch boxes and I am concerned they do not have enough time to eat. Much thought goes into how much time students are given for lunch. The older students are given 20 minutes to eat, and the youngest ones are given 25. Not only do we need to accommodate a minimum number of learning minutes, but allowing time for recess is also important. We have 3 lunch periods, and staff needs to be hired and paid to cover that time. Sending a heartier snack, and a lighter lunch is a possible suggestion, if you are concerned your child does not have enough time. Some kids are also more social than others, so have less time to eat. Parents are welcome to visit the lunchroom at anytime to see how things are going for their child! Thank you for understanding the school’s limitations in extending this time period.
