Ski Club is back! Registration is now open for our 2022-2023 season.
Ski Club is open to 5th-8th graders, with or without ski experience. Snowboarders are only allowed if they have had previous experience/lessons. Ski Lessons are required for those without ski experience.
Registration and payment for lift tickets, rentals, and lessons are handled online directly with Little Switzerland. Please see below to register. Students must be registered by Sunday, December 4th.
REGISTER FOR SKI CLUB
BUS TRANSPORTATION
The school has arranged bus transportation to and from the ski hill. It will be mandatory for all Ski Club members to take the bus. Once registration closes, and we know how many students have signed up, we will send out additional information for the bus.
PARENT CHAPERONES
As in previous years, every parent must be available to chaperone at least once for their child to participate. The sign-up to chaperone will come out after registration closes and will be handled via Sign Up Genius. A limited number of duties (Ski, Chalet, or Bus Chaperone) will be available, so we suggest selecting your date as soon as possible to ensure your child can participate. Again, we will send out advanced notice of when to look for the sign-up.
SKI CLUB DATES:
There are no refunds or credits for missed sessions.
HELMETS:
Helmets are mandatory for those bringing their own equipment. If you select a rental package, helmets are included.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
For those families new to Ski Club, we meet about an hour before the designated ski time in the LC gym parking lot and travel to and from Little Switz by bus. We return about a 1/2 hour after the ski time ends (i.e., for a 4-8 pm ski, we meet at 3:00 pm or after school and return to LC at 8:30 pm).
Food is available for purchase (typically, $20 is enough for lunch/dinner and snacks), or you can bring your own. Unless your child is enrolled in lessons, our students ski in groups with their friends, taking breaks in the chalet as needed. Kids come on the bus dressed to ski, except for their ski boots, and typically bring some bag with their hat, gloves, and other necessary items.
Expectations will be reviewed with the kids before the first ski date, and a copy will be sent to parents.
